New Irish Restaurant in Lakewood Ranch
A new Irish restaurant has made its way to Lakewood Ranch. If you love Irish food and want to enjoy an exciting dining experience, you definitely want to check out this new restaurant. Be sure to visit Lakewood Ranch’s newest Irish restaurant, McGrath’s Irish Ale House.
McGrath’s Irish Ale House offers a wide variety of tasty Irish family recipe inspired dishes, plus some traditional European and Irish options. For starters, try the French Onion Shire Dip, Roasted Potato Skins, or Scotch Egg. If you have a craving for a savory pie, the Steak & Ale Pie is a great pick. This menu item includes braised short ribs, peas, onion, potato, horseradish cream, and hot water dough. There’s also a Chicken Pot Pie and a Shepherds Pie. Some entrees available at McGrath’s Irish Ale House include fish and chips, the catch of the day, banger and mash, Herefordshire steak, and wild mushroom stroganoff.
Of course, McGrath’s wouldn’t be an Irish restaurant without some speciality cocktails, whiskeys, and beers. The Irish “True” Old Fashioned is made with Jameson Black Barrel, Benedictine, angostura, and orange bitters. There’s also the Luck of the Irish Choco Matini, the McGrath’s Mule, and the Irish Sour Whiskey, among many other choices.
“We wanted to offer a modern Irish ale house with home cooking and a place for people to hang out and enjoy themselves,” said co-owner Adam Myara in an interview with the Herald-Tribune. “Nothing stuffy, but with really good food.”
McGrath’s Ale house has patio seating that overlooks the lake, plus a large inside bar area. There’s even a private dining room that will host live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
